UseMonitoring

The leadwire set is the wear part of ECG monitoring: it is plugged and unplugged daily, dragged across beds and floors, and cleaned constantly. This range covers the monitoring configurations ordered as '3 lead ECG cable' and '5 lead ECG cable' — 3-lead sets for basic rhythm monitoring, 5-lead sets for multi-lead surveillance and ST trending, and 6-lead variants where the platform supports them — with snap or grabber patient ends and both AHA and IEC colour conventions, per monitor platform.

Sets are keyed to their trunk or monitor socket pattern; two sets that look identical can terminate differently at the yoke. Every set here is therefore listed against the platform and trunk family it mates with, and the same set families repeat across Philips, GE, Mindray, Nihon Kohden and Edan monitors so a mixed fleet can still standardise purchasing.

Snap or grabber?

Snap ends pair with adhesive electrodes and dominate monitoring: fast, secure, and the electrode carries the skin interface. Grabber (clip) ends grip stud electrodes and appear more in diagnostic and stress contexts. Sets are not freely convertible — the patient end is moulded — so order the end your electrodes use. Within a configuration, lead length is the second variable: standard lengths suit bedside monitors; longer sets serve telemetry and transport.

Colour conventions: pick one and hold it

AHA (white/red/brown/black/orange family) and IEC (red/yellow/green/black family) sets place identical signals under different colours. Both are stocked across the range; the safety-relevant act is consistency inside a department, because placement by colour memory is how limb-lead reversals happen. State your convention on the order — it is a line item, not an assumption.

Questions & answers

Can I plug a 5-lead set into a 3-lead trunk?

Only if the trunk socket supports it — configurations are keyed by platform. Tell us the monitor and trunk reference and we confirm the set.

Which colour convention should I order?

The one your department already uses. AHA and IEC are both stocked; mixing conventions in one unit is the error to avoid.

How long do leadwire sets last?

They are consumable assemblies: life depends on handling and cleaning. Replace a set when any lead becomes intermittent under a gentle flex test.
