How the range is organised
Start from the monitor, not from the sensor shape. Identify the oximetry technology inside the monitor (Nellcor OxiMax, Masimo SET, Philips FAST-SpO2, GE TruSignal/Ohmeda and others), then the connector on the monitor or module, then choose the patient-side form: finger clip for spot checks and short procedures, silicone soft tip for longer monitoring, adhesive wrap or disposable for neonates and infection-controlled areas. Specifying a replacement sensor
Three checks prevent almost every wrong shipment: the platform (a sensor wired for one oximetry technology will not read on another), the connector (pin count, shell and keying must match the monitor or the adapter cable in between), and the OEM part number of the sensor being replaced, which pins down both. Send any two of the three and the third can be confirmed from the cross-reference before quotation. Cable length and jacket are the last variables: TPU jackets are standard across most of the range for flexibility and wipe-down cleaning, and lengths run from short monitor-side stubs to 3 m patient leads.
