IBP adapter cables — transducer system on one end, monitor on the other
The IBP adapter cable is a two-ended specification: the plug that mates with your disposable transducer system, and the connector that enters the monitor's pressure input. This family stocks the combinations hospitals actually run — BD-compatible, Edwards-compatible and Utah-style transducer interfaces on one side; GE, Philips, Mindray and further platform inputs on the other — in single-channel cables and dual-channel assemblies such as the GE dual IBP adapter cross-referenced to 2005772-001.
Because the installed base of transducers is usually fixed by contract, adapter cables are also the change-management tool: when a monitor fleet is refreshed, the pressure chain often survives on a new set of adapter cables alone.

Specifying the pair
Order by the pair, in this order: (1) transducer system and its cable connector; (2) monitor platform, model and pressure-module generation; (3) channel count. A photograph of both connectors resolves most ambiguity, and an OEM reference for either the old cable or the transducer kit resolves all of it. The cross-reference indexes cables by these references precisely because 'IBP cable' alone specifies nothing.
- BD-compatible transducer interfaces
- Edwards-compatible interfaces
- Utah-style (684102-line) interfaces
- Dual-channel assemblies for two pressure lines
Cable care in the wet zone
IBP cables work around fluid lines: keep connectors dry, route cables out of the spill path, and inspect pins for corrosion when a channel drifts after zeroing or reads damped with a fresh transducer. The cable is the reusable element of the chain and the cheapest to rule out — swap a known-good cable before escalating to the module.

Questions & answers
How do I identify my transducer-side connector?
From the transducer system's documentation or the OEM reference of your current cable (for example 684102 for a long-running Utah/BD-pattern reference). A connector photo also works — send both ends.
Are dual-channel cables available for all platforms?
Dual assemblies exist for the platforms whose pressure inputs support two channels in one assembly (GE dual adapter 2005772-001 is the common reference). Ask with your monitor model.
Does the adapter cable affect calibration?
The chain must be zeroed and calibrated per the monitor and transducer instructions after any component change; the correct cable preserves the specified interface — a wrong-interface cable is not a calibration problem, it is a mismatch.
